MAKE MONEY ONLINE WITH PODCASTING

INTRODUCTION

Whether you like it or not podcasting is a new craze on the internet. It is extremely popular among young crowd. For those who have no idea about podcasting let me tell you what exactly it is?

Podcasting is basically a communication tool with which you can share voice (audio or video) over internet rather than just plain text. These audio and video files generally known as podcasts are distributed to computers and portable media players. Podcasts can be streamed directly on internet. So there is no need to download them as files.

IS IT FOR YOU?

After reading introduction the obvious question that might come to your mind is that “Is Podcasting for you?”  Well I can give you four reasons to go for it.

1. Communication –If you want to share an idea to the world then the podcast will help you to communicate directly with your listeners. This was not possible until now. So you get a chance to know your audience much better.  
2. Traffic – Podcasting has much greater reach than websites and blogs combined together. People are more addicted to listening audios and with time they will become your loyal customers.    
3. Zero investment – You do not require anything extra to become a podcaster. A computer with  microphone and simple audio editing software is more than enough.  
4. Make Money – The only reason to become a podcaster is to Make Money Online. I will explain in subsequent paragraphs how you can make money through podcasting.

WHAT ALL IS NEEDED TO GET STARTED

     1.  Content – First you have to create audio content that you will record and distribute over internet regularly. Your content can be series of audio files on a particular topic (like How to play guitar).There are two ways to do that     

• Read blogs: You get an idea by reading different blogs written in your field on which you are going to podcast. Search them on Google, www.technoarti.com, www.digg.com etc. Write down the content that you will be recording.
• Listen To other Podcasts: By listening to other podcasts you will come to know how others are doing it. This will help you develop your own content. Go to www.itunes.com or other pod directories to search them.

    2. Microphone – Now that content (written in a paper) is being created you need a microphone in your PC to record it. You can get microphone in any hardware shop.  

    3.Voice Editing Program – This program will allow you to record and edit your show. There are free programs like wavepad and audacity.

    4. Uploading – After recording you have to upload it to internet. Place your podcast on a blog or submit to podcasting directories. And that is it.    

MAKE MONEY FROM PODCASTING

There are two simple ways to make money with podcasting. 

    1. Sell Products – You can choose a product related to the topic of your podcast series (like learn how to play guitar) from a company online (www.clickbank.com)and start promoting it. If your podcast show is liked by people then they may buy your product also.

    2. Commercial Sponsors – As your audience grows you will get sponsors who want to show their ads       on podcasting series. In return for showing their ads you can charge them money on your terms.
